This User Guide describes Shape2Earth Globe Version 1.0.0

Welcome to Shape2Earth Globe!  Shape2Earth Globe is the easiest and cheapest way to capture Google Earth Imagery for your personal use!

What Can I Do With Shape2Earth Globe?

Shape2Earth Globe provides the following functionality:

  1. Capture Imagery from Google Earth - Organize and prepare your capture images for using in web pages, word document, and in Geographic Information Systems.
  2. Georeferenced Image Capture - Create a world file of your captured image in order to view it in MapWindow, ESRI, or another GIS.

Installing Shape2Earth Globe

Your version of Shape2Earth Globe must match your version of Google Earth Plugin. Check for your version below, and then download and install Shape2Earth Globe for that version.

If this is your first installation of Shape2Earth Globe, it is recommended that you make sure you have the latest Google Earth version before installing.

Using Shape2Earth Globe

  1. Read the Google Earth lmagery Terms of Use
  2. Maximize the Shape2Earth Globe application. This will improve image capture
  3. Zoom into your are of interest and click the 'Capture' button
  4. Click the 'Load Capture' button to load previously captured images.
